Afsaneh Nia
Afsaneh is an intercultural consultant, advisor, mentor and linguist with over 20 years of experience devoted to, facilitating cross-cultural communication and building trusting relationships domestically and internationally.
She has a multicultural upbringing, speaks six languages and has worked in over 20 countries in Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Her work in UK justice system, NGO's and international summits have directed her way of thinking to be centered on the accuracy, precision, and attention to details. Her wide range of experiences demonstrates that creating value in global business and developing human capital first requires forming trusting relationships.
She has an M.A. in Organisational psychology, with a proven track record in building strategic alliances in multicultural partnerships and collaborations. She has advised individuals, groups, and organisations on skills and competencies to meet the diverse needs of her clients in connecting their unique talents and leadership capabilities. She has cooperated with many senior global clients and NGOs to deliver tactical solutions and improve overall operational efficiencies by identifying indicators of communication and intercultural barriers.
Her clients have included: WTO, European Commission, European Union, USAID, the International Court of arbitration, Ministry of justice and many voluntary and nongovernmental organisations.
Afsaneh acquired her initial business background in advertising and marketing with TATA groups in India after completing her M.A, later on, she worked in promoting fashion brands in U.S.A before settling in the UK in 1995.
She is committed to gender equality and empowerment of women and dedicates her time and expertise to many organisations on a voluntary basis. She is also a mentor at the Chartered Institute of Linguists, University of Surrey and a Member of Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research in UK & Switzerland.
